In her free time, she loves watching TV shows/movies, dancing, spending time with friends and family, hiking (only when the weather is warm), and exploring new places.

Karson is a graduate student at the University of the Pacific with a B.S in Marine Biology and a minor in Environment and Sustainability studies. She is pursuing a M.S in Biological Sciences while conducting research on health, stress, and pollution exposure markers in four coastal shark species due to anthropogenic activities using proteomics and sequencing techniques. She is passionate about the ocean as well as its people, and she enjoys outdoor activities, the Arts, traveling, and experiencing new things.
